WORKROOM is the working space behind THOVIR.
THOVIR is the trademark under which these products are presented and brought to market.
From Experience to Workroom
Since 1997, Thomas Rieth has worked independently with welding systems, technical consulting, service, commissioning and customer training.
His practical background covers MIG/MAG and TIG welding, robotic applications, product development and technical prototyping. In recent years, his work has increasingly focused on handheld laser welding, application testing, machine instruction and the introduction of new technologies into small and medium-sized industrial companies.
WORKROOM is the next step in this development. Based in Finland, it brings together practical engineering, product development, prototyping and small-scale manufacturing. The focus is on welding, laser technology, automation and practical industrial solutions — from the first idea to a working application.
Experience from industry.
A practical approach to technology.
A new base for development in Finland.
More than a workshop
A place where an idea can move from the first sketch to a prototype, production and eventually to the market — but also a place to meet, discuss and explore. This may mean talking about a new business idea, looking at a manufacturing process, testing a technical approach, discussing materials or simply exchanging experience. The idea behind WORKROOM is simple: bring together practical knowledge, technology and people in one place — and see what can develop from it.
A Place to Build, Test and Exchange Ideas.
Flexible Equipment
WORKROOM is designed as a flexible technical workspace rather than a fixed production facility.
Equipment can change depending on the project, development stage and technical requirements. This allows different manufacturing methods and new technologies to be integrated as needed. Depending on the application, WORKROOM may include CNC machining, digital printing, laser welding, robotic applications, assembly and prototyping.
The right tools for the right task.
